$10 Cowboy was not intended to be a themed record, but rather a freeform expression by Charley Crockett. Despite the success of his previous album, Man From Waco, Crockett maintained his professional and informative approach while crafting a new album during his cross-country tour. The resulting songs, though raw and personal, seamlessly depicted a country in transition.
