Description
The legendary Blue Road concert by the Isao Suzuki Quartet was recorded at the renowned '5 Days in Jazz 1975' event just a month after the equally famous 'Orang-Utan' was captured. The band, consisting of Isao Suzuki on bass, cello, and electric piano, Kenji Mori on alto sax, bass clarinet, and flute, Kazumi Watanabe on guitar, Shinji on drums, Osamu Kawakami on bass and electric bass, and Mari Nakamoto on vocals, was recorded live on May 26, 1975, at Tokyo's Nihon Toshi Center Hall. The recording was expertly supervised by Takeshi Fujii and handled by recording and mixing pro Yoshihiko Kannari of Three Blind Mice.
