Kala, M.I.A.'s second album, is a wild and enjoyable mix of beats, percussion, vocals, and stylistic syntheses from multiple countries. Made by collaborating with artists like Switch, Blaqstarr, Diplo, and Timbaland, as well as featuring guest vocals from Nigerian and Aborigine rappers, Kala is even more intense than M.I.A.'s debut album Arular. While some tracks are chaotic and noisy, others are more relaxed, including a cover of a Bollywood song and a catchy tune featuring samples from The Clash and Wreckx-N-Effect.
