Born in 1940 in Milan, Federico Mon Arduini was a child prodigy who studied piano and began performing at concerts at just eight years old. As a composer, he sold millions of copies of his pop songs for other artists. It wasn't until he discovered synthesizers in the early 70s that he achieved solo success.
Among his many albums, Oasis is a standout for its experimental sounds and emotional expressions. With a combination of spiritual synth sounds and sparing use of the Roland rhythm box, the album creates a dreamy, oscillating mix of ambient and psychedelic music.
